Scroogle Mail for iPhone and iPad
Full encrypted inbox, aliases, contacts and search - with Face ID lock and share-sheet support. Notifications are content-free by design: your lock screen learns nothing.

Both apps contain zero tracking SDKs. No analytics libraries, no ad frameworks, no third-party crash reporting - if the app falls over, you can choose to send us a report, and that's the whole telemetry story.
A proper app for your proper computer
The desktop app keeps an encrypted local copy of your mailbox, so search is instant and your mail is readable on the train. Version 1.9.0, released 4 June 2026.

Installer with silent-update support. Works fine on ARM Windows under emulation.

Beta.deb, .rpm and AppImage builds; also on Flathub. Beta because Linux desktops keep us honest.
Scroogle Bridge
For paid plansIMAP and SMTP for Apple Mail, Outlook and Thunderbird. Bridge runs quietly on your machine, decrypts mail locally, and serves it to your favourite client over loopback - so your mailbox stays end-to-end encrypted while your workflow stays exactly as it was.

No install needed. Sign in from any browser - the full encrypted inbox, composer and settings, with your keys unlocked in the browser and never on our servers. Handy on machines that aren't yours; just remember to sign out of those.

Check it really came from us
We sign every release with our PGP key and publish SHA-256 checksums alongside each file. It takes a minute and it's the only way to be certain nothing changed between our build machine and your disk.
SHA-256 checksums
Compute the checksum of your download and compare it against the published value. On macOS and Linux: shasum -a 256 <file>; on Windows PowerShell: Get-FileHash <file>.

PGP signature
Every file ships with a detached .asc signature made by the Scroogle Mail release key. Import the signing key (scroogle-signing-key.asc), confirm its fingerprint matches the one below, then verify:

If the fingerprint doesn't match, stop and tell us - don't install the file.
